Banpresto Colosseum Contest IV (Buggy The Clown) Part 3

Let’s continue with a figure that some of you will love. All of these figures are pretty awesome but this one it is kind of special.

I know it’s not a Megahouse figure but well at least they give ideas to the big companies on how to make a good Buggy. Let’s be honest guys, everyone wants (actually demands) a Buggy the clown. If you don’t want a Buggy then I guess you hate him then hahaha.

The sculptor for this new Banpresto Buggy it’s Urota and well let’s show first of all the images before he completed the figure. I have also one thing to comment on this figure and it will be something like this: Megahouse see how this person did it, he just sliced a little bit of Buggy’s body and didn’t completely separated his parts and when he did, he was smart enough to put the hand attached to Bugg’s coat so it could create a pretty nice effect. So (Learn).

Ok, now let’s continue with the questions made to the sculptor.

1) How did you decided to become a sculptor?

A: It was from a part time job that I took in college and I really decided to be a sculptor once I saw one of my figures being produced.

2) Why you wanted to make a Buggy figure?

A: Well, I really like the colors of him and he is one of my favorite characters. Hope the characters continues to be active in the future.

3) Feelings after finishing the figure?

A: Really happy with the results. I really wanted to show Buggy on a more dynamic pose and with his ability powers.

4) What was the most difficult part for you to create this figure?

A: To make the disjointed body possible.

5) Feelings on the character?

A: Well even when Buggy is a weak and kind of dumb character, I wanted to make an awesome figure specially for those Buggy fans out there.

Banpresto Colosseum IV (Bridal Nami) Part 2

Now I have the 2nd of these figures from the colosseum contest.

Let’s talk about this awesome Nami figure and hope that other companies can make a Bridal Nami as beautiful as this one. We have seen other women figures from One piece (actually only Hancock) with a bridal dress but we never seen Nami like this. I had to say that I really like this Nami and can’t wait to get it so I can review it.

Let’s continue now with the interview that they release of this awesome figure.

The sculptor of this awesome figure is Saori Ishizaki and here are the questions and answers.

1) How do you became a sculptor?                                                                                                                                               A: I actually liked figure skating when I was in school but then I saw a job posting related to figure creator and I love it after that.

2) Why did you chose your character?

A: Simply because Nami is my favorite character and I though that this Nami Bridal will be liked by people.

3) What was you challenge on this figure?

A: Doing the skirt of the dress was difficult, also the material that I used for the skit gave me a lot of problems with cracks.

4) Scene that you used to create this figure?

A: The scene of Nami and Absalom at Thriller Park was the one that inspired me.

There was some other questions but since I don’t know japanese I can only get help from normal translating websites. Sorry about that.

Banpresto Colosseum IV (Zoro figure)

Hi guys,

I have some information on all the figures that are going to be participating on the Banpresto Colosseum IV contest.

As you know even when they decide who wins the contest, pretty much Banpresto releases all of the figures. Which for us its pretty pretty good since each the figures get better each year.

I’m going to start with the creator of the Zoro figure. His name is Nakano Noriaki

Before I start showing the pictures, I will say that I got this information from the following japanese site (http://bfc.bpnavi.jp/zoukeio4/profile2.html) which is the main page of the contest. On this website they interviewed each of the sculptors and this are some of the questions:

Why do you become a sculptor?

A: Since I was a kid I like to draw and I always wanted to create figures. I studied metal crafts in college, and last year I received a job to create a prototype of Raoh (character from (Fist of the north start). Even when I struggle I wanted to create more than a prototype.

Why did you chose Zoro?

A: Well I actually wanted to create a MontBlac Cricket but when I asked a friend about it he told me I was crazy and then when he said what about Zoro. I went like yes I can do Zoro and it will be better if I can make a scene from the actual manga.

Impressions of finishing the work?

A: Well I was impressed about the level of great sculptors from this competitions and the finish was a road of trial and error.But on my two week I make sure that I could do my best work.

What was the most difficult part for you?

A: The face because it had to be very similar to the manga. I also had a hard time with the wrinkles of the clothing

Which scene did you used for your figure?

A: I used the scene when Zoro cuts Money at Punk Hazard

Finally, here are the rest of the pictures with Zoro finished and painted. Also, forgot to say that the contest it’s an (all vs all) and it won’t be a bracket competition. 38th prize fair photos (Cool cool things coming)

Well first of all many thanks for banplanet for these amazing images from the 38th prize fair.

First of all lets start by showing the image of the figure of Monkey D Luffy. I’m happy because I’m getting this one and will review it once I can. This is the Kings of Artist of Monkey D. Luffy

Now let me show you some figures which I think are Banpresto figures. First a figure well two figure of Aokiji and then two figures of Zoro. Both figure have a color and a monochromatic one. Love them both but since I’m a big fan of Zoro, I have to say that the Zoro figure its amazing. Hope I can see this figure soon for pre-order.

Now, let me show you two wcf collections. First lets start what it seems to be a punk hazard collection, followed by another collection which I think its a old bosses collection or something like that.

Finally, let me finish with two wcf figures that excited me the most when I saw them. I know you will love these figures. First one is a scene from Luffy and Shanks and last one is the epic moment that everybody loves but I think made everybody sad.

This epic moment is the one between Luffy and Ace. Man I still feel sad every time I see this episode, don’t you?

I find out that Big in Japan has it for pre-order. Release date will be June 2014.

She has a price of 1490 yens which is pretty cheap 🙂

It also seems that the Banpresto company is the one making her or maybe a little company form Banpresto called Q Posket. But well the name in the big in japan site says Q Posket Shirahoshi but manufacturer says BanPresto. Either way is nice good looking figure.
